trainz 2006 sp1 install issue

When I install TRS2006 from the 5 CD pack all works ok but after I install sp1 the ability to "program" AI for various train drivers dissapears in both surveyor and driver modules- I have a disk I picked up at an exibition and have also downloaded sp1 from download station - both give the same result -
I am running an Acer Aspire 5735 laptop with intel duo processor @2.0 ghz 1066 mhz FSB with 3 mb l2 cache and 3 gb ddr2 memory - vido is mobilee graphics media accellerator 4500mhd

the same issues occour if I am running it on my old dell desktop (yes I did uninstall the copy from the desktop) I have even gone the to end of purchasing another copy of TRS2006 on DVD but it still does the same

can anyone assist please?

Hi there,

Sorry if this has been done but have you done the install by doing TRS2006 first and then doing the SP1 install immediately afterwards without[COLOR] running 06 first? Also it is often necessary to install without having anti-virus running in the background as this can impact negatively on the process.
