Hi,

I bought Trainz 2006 at launch, but it's been gathering dust for years because my only used it at work :o

Now I no longer have regular access to a windows machine (Mac User) I decided to install it on my Mac (using Bootcamp)

Now, i'm pretty sure I would have registered on the site with my serial way back when and possibly accessed the Download Station. But as I don't want to take my Windows partition Online is there any way I can..
  1. Download Routes via my Mac in OSX
  2. Confirm my serial is registered for the DS?

Are you using your original username or have you re-registered?

At the top of this page is a link to Planet Auran. On that page is a link to Serial Numbers. If you are using your original username it should show as registered. If you have re-registered then you will need to contact HelpDesk and see if you can get your usernames merged...

Andy :)

Thanks Andy, It worked... had to enter the serial number, could have sworn I did it before but I also bought the game for my father so chances are I registered his and not mine!

Just need to figure out how to download stuff now!

Only half a decade too late!

Welcome back to Trainz :)

Just incase you are not aware, TRS2006, like TRS2004 which I run, is no longer a 'Supported Product', therefore you will need to purchase a 'First Class Ticket' to enable you to download from the dls (download station).
N3v/Auran have also stated that even that may be withdrawn from 2006 & 2004 users in the future at their discretion.

Should you wish, you can purchase an up to date version of Trainz which is now available in a dedicated Mac version. :D

Hi Blackwatch... yes I think I came to a brick wall when my Download Station searches came back empty! looks like I will have to buy a ticket... my control panel says I have a months free pass but I can't yet figure out how to activate it.

Trainz for Mac: Unfortunately I have a 2010 Unibody (white) MacBook with the integrated Video card so it's unlikely i'll get good performance on it... Ironically it seems buying an iPad would be a better way of getting the Trainz experience on a mac but I have no real need for one.

I could possibly run Trainz 2009 or 2010 on my Mac via Windows, shame there's no Demos, will have to see if there are an going cheap on Amazon

I wish I had a lifestyle that necessitated a Desktop Machine rather than a laptop... I could have been Playing this game regularly 6 years ago!!

Thanks for your help!

To activate a First Class Ticket, click Planet Auran above, then click Download Tickets on the left hand side. Scroll down the page to the First Class Ticket section, then click Activate next to it.

Be aware that it can take up to 48 hours to activate, and requires that your Download Helper panel list in Content Manager is clear of assets.

Hi Shane,

Thanks I've activated it, not showing yet.

Does this mean I can only download via the game itself? I hadn't planned taking my Windows Partition online because I have no Anti-Virus installed on it

You will need to wait for it to activate before you can do any downloading, due to the unsupport of TRS2006 (as Blackwatch stated).

Shane

You should be able to. Just make sure you click 'Download Page' followed by 'Download (FTP)', as the 'Download (Helper)' option will attempt to launch Content Manager.
