Hi guys I have trainz 2010 and I was wondering a couple things? what does it have that 2010 doesnt and should i switch, and what are the advantages to 2012

12 doesn't have compatibility mode, but does have longer draw distances, layers and multiplayer. It runs better in general than 2010 with the right system, and supports more advanced graphics. It's a leap from 2010, and many struggle with it because of the differences.

My 2010 game runs on a laptop and im getting a desktop so i can have pv2im or whatever its called so i can fix them to work. do you know the right system it runs better on

Well, many systems will run it well. I have an XP OS, with a Core 2 Duo and a GeForce 460 GPU. It runs well enough, but if I were buying now I'd go a Windows 7 system with an i7 Core and at least a GeForce 500 series card.

ok thanks i will do that and my laptop has windows 7 i dont like windows 8 that much anyway

I have an I5 in my desktop and it runs great. More important, is a good video card.
