Train Poems

A long, long time ago...

So bye-bye, Mr Microsoft Guy.
Put Trainz in my computer,
and the crashes went bye.
that fine Surveyor works as easy as pie
Singin’, "this’ll be the game that I buy.
"this’ll be the game that I buy."

Now I have the song stuck in my mind for the rest of the day.

Sorry montgomery gentry

at the ripe young age of 15
i bought a Copy of TRS
The game ran on MY XP
a half a lap ahead of The rest
i had a real i d that got me into CMP
The DLS was a word i used to Love
was a big time spender with that FCT
back when i knew it all

back when the Forum was kind and MSTS didn't have a clue
that was back......
back when a picture of a loco and a couple shots made me a GMAXER
back when CCP was a name i used in vain to get a point across when
i got ticked off
Auran i'm learning so much more......than back when i had TRS04

i found out A FCT don't mean Unlimited downloads
and CMP and google earth don't mix
yeah CMP can't Run a bit
and those TRS06 Routes sure are small
i've learned that JET is a thing that will slow you down
Loading CMP can turn life around
man i can't believe all the answers i've found
since ... I consulted the CoC

back when the Forum was kind and MSTS didn't have a clue
that was back......
back when a picture of a loco and a couple shots made me a GMAXER
back when CMP was a name i used in vain to get a point across when
i got ticked off
Auran i'm learning so much more......than back when i had TRS04

i've cleaned some Space up In my computer
and i'm still making room
so i know i'll never run TRS06 as fast as i once did
that was back.......

back when the Forum was kind and MSTS didn't have a clue
that was back......
back when a picture of a loco and a couple shots made me a GMAXER
back when CCP was a name i used in vain to get a point across when
i got ticked off

I can still remember
How that MSTS made me smile.
And I knew if I had the time
I could make my own rail line
And, maybe, I'd be happy for a while.

....

They were singing,

Brilliant - one of the best things I've read on these forums since I joined in 2005. Brings a whole new meaning to 'poetic truth'.

Here is the poem that I wrote that stands head sholders and feet above the rest of my poetry:

All On Those Bands Of Steel

Loose spikes of steel on the ground,
As trains carry coal to the power plants
And coiled steel to the mills
All on those bands of steel

Gone are the days when steam ran the world
Gone are the days when Tycoons ran the rails and built empires of riches,
All on those bands of steel

Never again will steam run the world but computers
and Never agian will men like Cornilous Vanderbuilt, Charles Crocker, and Jay Gould run the rails,
and the promise of electrification for locomotives to breath live once more into the railroads,
All on those bands of Steel

I wrote this in 8th grade for a free verse poem project and I had nothing else to write about

My Apologies Ozzy Osbourne..

Trainz has changed and trainz is strange
Here comes TS2009, but It ain't the same
Auran, I'm comin home
CMP goes by, seems to be
You could have been a better friend to me
Auran, I'm goin home

You took me in figured me out,
Yeah, you had me unhumanised, yeah
Lost and wound and turned around
By the fire in your drive,

You made me cry, you told me lies
But I can't stand to see TS2009
Auran, I'm comin home
CMP could be right, CMP could be wrong
It wrecked so bad it's graphics so gone
Auran, I'm goin home

Selfish program yeah i'm so alone
The error before the fail, yeah
But I'm gonna take this Hammer of stone
I just got to have the revenge of all

I've seen your problems a hundred times
Everyday you fall apart
I don't care about the archives, yeah
'Cause Auran, auran, I'm comin home
I'm goin home
I'm goin home

You took me in figured me out,
Yeah, you had me unhumanised, yeah
Lost and wound and turned around
By the fire in your drive,

I've seen your problems a hundred times
Everyday you fall apart
I don't care about the archives, yeah
'Cause Auran, auran, I'm comin home
I'm goin home
I'm goin home

Sorry Ed, had to join the fun..:hehe:

Colin, Paul, Zwab, Seth, Ferrous, Peter and Jim;

Thank you all so much for the praise of my silly parody of "American Pie". It's gratifying to know a little poorly made humor is not unappreciated! I would say it warms the cockles of my cold heart, but I'm not sure if I can use the word "cockles" here! DOH!

To everyone else, your work has been outstanding, whether poem, song or parody, in your own words, or someone else's.

It's a fantastically penned parody Ed, I had to read it twice to digest everything you'd written, only someone with your knowledge and experience of Trainz over the years could have generated something like this, and you are most certainly appreciated around here, to keep things sane, if nothing else..........

Alas what happened to Zwabberaar?

Alas what happened to Zwabberaar?
He was here for a while
He could not have gone far
Maybe he is lurking on the outside looking in
Bans usually don't last forever
He says to himself with a grin
Alas what happened to Zwabberaar?:hehe:

Or just possibly he re-registered , on the very following day ?
Using another serial number , and a different user name ,
I'm think'in he's still posting , in his same ol' kinda way ,
But his new idenity will never mention , being a MOD is my sole aim !

Just a Thought ---DLR
