Train duplicated itself?

My own made route. Been driving ONE train around looking for problems......moving trees, smoothing ground, etc. So, I smoother some ground and move some trees.....I did this several times. No problem. But, the last time when I went back to driving, another train (just like the one that I had been driving) was on the track right ahead of me and either at a dead stop or moving towards me. We crashed. WHY? I had only ONE train on the track.

In all my years of using the UDS to do exactly what you have described I have never experienced this. As a guess I suspect that the cause of this may have been confusion when saving and reloading the edited route/session/game.

when i am doing this same exact thing i always park my train in a siding when done before doing ground work on the route... if you park the train in a safe place such as a siding track that is near by to where your working on the route when parked save the train session then exit out back to the main menu then reload the same exact session that you just did then go into surveyor to do your work, i know its alot to do but it will save you from having this issue again in the long run.. I had this exact same issue happen before and this is what i did for a work around the issue!
Cheers

The thing is......I have done it this way since I TR19 and have never had a problem! I literally waited for that ability to come out to where you could drive, stop, fix an issue, and continue. Why now all of a sudden? My routes are very simple....no AI at all.....just driving trains and looking at the scenery.

Without knowing exactly what save and load options you have used it is difficult to diagnose or reproduce this problem.
