Traffic lights

Hi All,

I am looking for traffic lights that work the same way as railway signals, the nearest that I have found is L Block 3 but this goes red to double green. I think these were made for TR 2004 and is the only one that I have found that has just a post without a ladder ect. I know about the AJS & ATLS signals but these are not suitable for what I am looking for.

My problem is that after laying invisable track for buses, trucks ect: Although a following vehicle will lay back off the the vehicle in front it will continue to follow it rather than then go to its selected destination or stop at the next designated stoping place. This does not happen on the railway once the signals are installed. So I am trying to find traffic lights that will do the same thing. And act as a blocking signal.

I thought of using a trigger but the buses/trucks are unlikey to end up in the same place after their initial run.

It is not the intention to have traffic lights all down the road but they could be made into a crossing or placed at junctions or whatever.

Any suggestions would be greatly recieved.

Many thanks

I assume that you wish the second truck to turn onto a different direction. If you have a truck following to near, the one in front will not release the junction in time for the second one to change it. Try and reduce the radius of the junction lever so the the first truck will clear before the second truck enters the radius. Use the ATLS traffic lights in conjunction with the tram stopper signal. The tram stop acts as a signal placed on invisible track and is linked to the traffic lights through the controller. This means you can have the signal at red and the traffic lights will also show red. When the signal is green so are the lights. See his tutorial at http://www.boatztrainz.co.uk/tutorials.htm advanced traffic light system.

Thanks for your replies. Although the ATLS signals are good in their own right, I have found them to be too time consuming to layout and to get them to work as they should. Some of which only work with the built in traffic that comes with the roads.

However, lewis's suggestion of the invisible signal is ideal and does what I want, with many thanks for this suggestion.

It does seem though, that with hundreds of railway signals available, that there are not any traffic lights available that do the same job.

Thanks again
