traffic assets

Still plays with Trainz
I recently downloaded some assets made by SAP but I have no clue regarding how to place and make the assets function

The vehicles must be suitable for use as moving traffic. It should say if they are in their asset Description, but if not, look in their configs. They should have 2 these tags at the root level (not in any sub-container);

Kind scenery
trackside 0 (or some value close to 0. This ensures the vehicles run close to the invisible line joining the spline points of the road).

Next find or make a Kind "region" asset that, among other things, lists the kuids of the traffic-enabled vehicles to be used on your Route. Keep in mind that any errors in the vehicles or their dependencies can cause the Region asset to be faulty and not work, or at the very least, cause the faulty vehicles not to show up on the roads.

Once you have a "Region" that is fault-free in Content Manager, your Route needs to refer to the kuid of that Region. Either by;

- editing the Route in Surveyor and choosing the Region you want (by name) from a list of installed Regions. Then save the Route.
OR
- manually editing the config of the Route to insert a region tag which specifies the kuid of the Region. Then submit the edited Route in CM.

Wiki references for further details:

A simple search on the word "traffic" reveals these pages;

Traffic-enabled vehicles (stand-alone assets)
Traffic-enabled vehicles (based on mesh libraries)
Adding traffic vehicles to routes
KIND region assets
