Traction railroad maintenance equipment

I'm fascinated by some of the MoW (Maintenance of Way) equipment used by some of the traction railroads that used to exist in North America. A good selection can be found by browsing here:

http://www.davesrailpix.com/

You can see that in some cases flat cars, box cars and even passenger cars were converted to electric traction, had all sorts of devices added and were pressed into MoW service.

In this spirit I've taken bendorsey's "work_car_35" and made a few alterations to give this:

The modifications were a bit of a challenge because I didn't have access to the original mesh. So I've used auxiliary mesh attachment points to add:
A pantograph.
A cab interior.
A traction bogey (with outside rods, taken from the Tem II)
A load attachment point.

Other modifications include a shadow, enginespec, sounds, ... .

It is, of course, designed for use on my DowntownTractionCo route, see here:

But it might also be a welcome addition to any other electrified route.

I have Ben's permission to upload it to the Download Station. It should be there soon.

Replacing the desktop here at home -- shopping online, bare bone PC, etc ... thank goodness I save what I did with Downtown traction on the external HD! I am almost done with it ... Damn, PC started acting up -- working out of the laptop ... telling you so you know, sir ... I was looking forward to finishing it up and sending it to you, etc!! just a week's delay!!

Hi Phil and accompany ...

New PC is on it's way so I can then finish what I've started ... Also, I got an idea to place cranes on rolling stocks, Phil ... it'll be an experiment, but if it works I think you might be a happy camper, my dear friend!!!:D
