hi trying to get back into tane when i delete or change name of track marker in surveyor, i then go into driver and find the old name and new names in the drop down menu's anybody any idea how to delete the old names from drop down menu's thanks in advance

It's a bug, it should vanish after you exit trainz. It's not rebuilding the lists after alterations if you go straight into driver, I believe this is a fix in SP2 HF1 later.

Check that you are not doing this in a session layer, or in the create/edit session mode of Surveyor rather than in the Route editor. All track marks and their relations need to be configured and named in the route and not a session.

I was not aware that track marks need to be configured and named in the route. I have created and edited track marks in several sessions in the session layer using Tane SP1. None of these session have ever caused any problems until I upgraded to SP2. Now the sessions will run for about ten minutes and then an AI engine will simply stop at a track mark and ignore the command to move on. Could this be due to the fact I have always installed and or edited track marks in the session layer?

Hi

I have placed trackmarks and triggers on the route layer, session layer and even on their own layer and have never seen any difference in performance. Sessions imported from SP1into SP2 have caused me problems but the session that I'm working with now has been created in SP2 and so far has worked perfectly with trackmarks and triggers on the session layer.

With the timeout issues earlier in TANE I have preferred to keep the route layer clear of trackmarks and try to keep them to a minimum in the session layer.

Thanks. I am having trouble with sessions imported from SP1 To SP2 and have decided I should probably just build the sessions with SP2.
