Track Direction again, reversing consists.

I have a single track line which goes through 6 station in both directions. By necessity the track is laid in one direction. The stations are all live (as in people get on and off). Certain locomotives will for some reason - unload, load then reverse direction, effectively backing the train out of the station and going in the wrong direction - others operate as directed.

Does anyone know why this might be happening?

Also if you want to run a train through an active station do you need to tell it to unload then load or should they do this automatically when you tell them to go to station XYZ?

Thanks

Firstly all active stations and industry need the load command for AI to activate the station script. The train reverses? is there another train on the same track ahead of it as this might cause it to try and find another way around.

Now that you mention it, yes there is but it is behind a closed switch. Could this cause the problem (there are no signals on the line yet as it's still under construction)?

It is possible that the train that reverses has seen something ahead that may block its path to the next destination. As you have no signals this could be some way down the track if all junctions are set for the single line. Also if the end of the line has no signal or buffer it will effect the train.
