track condition

Since my MOW crew is expected to lay 100% track, no wiggles or wobbles accepted, how do I quickly inspect the track to verify their work? I can click on each segment, even double click to get multiple segments between junctions and verify the properties value but on a long and complex route, that is rather tedious. Is there a visual indication that can be turned on to highlight the various condition values?
 
I haven't found any way to tell other than run a train over the line. If the track-condition is set really low, then the train will wobble. Sitting in the cab doesn't show anything though.
 
I was afraid of that. At least the wobble is only a visual effect and doesn't affect the train physically. I wonder if there is a way to set the initial condition when placing new track to be 100% instead of the current 50%.

You may be able to add the track-condition tag. It works in build 2.9 but I don't if it works with newer builds.

track-condition "1.00"

This is 100%
0.90 = 90%
etc.

I looked for that name on the DLS but didn't find anything. Am I missing something?
 
A single visual representation for all the tracks - no.

You could edit the config.txt file but that has issues of is own. Without changing the track config.txt file:-

In Surveyor Classic open the Tracks Tab - Advanced section.
  • To see the current track condition for a track segment click on the Get Track Condition icon and click on the track segment. Its value will be shown in the track condition setting box.
  • To set the track condition of individual track segments type a value from 0.00 to 1.00 in the track condition setting box, click the Apply Track Condition icon and then click on a track segment. To set multiple track segments to the same value click on each individual segment.
In Surveyor 2.0, using the Free Move or Fine Adjustment Tool, select a single track segment or multiple track segments and open the segment(s) context menu. Select the Edit Details option.
  • The current track condition for the last selected segment will be shown.
  • To change the value for (all) the selected segment(s) enter a new value and click Save Changes
 
I think most of is would like the ability to update the track condition in bulk, my huge route would take years to do it section by section. So update a track condition in a Bulk Track condition replacement tool. Just like Bulk asset Replacement for other assets. Thats when it works seems to be currently broken.

Yeah, I can relate.

It's unfortunate that the track-condition tag has been obsoleted and is no longer listed on the Wiki.

I cloned some old TRS2009 or TS2010-era track, and put that in with 0.10 (10%) and the freight cars rock and roll on the old sidings and branch lines I use that on. By adding this to the track, I can lay the bumpy track all over a yard or branch line without needing to update section by section.
