TOTR-Conrail Historical Society @ Altoona Railfest 09-June 26-28

The Conrail Historical Society will again be on top of Horseshoe Curve during Altoona, PA's Railfest 2009, Friday June 26th thru Sunday June 28th 2009. We will have Trainz set up and running a variety of routes during this time with all different kinds of rolling stock and other goodies! We will also have copies of Trainz 2009 for sale as well, all proceeds from sales help our society keep Conrail alive!! We'll also have other Conrail specific merchandise on top as well but you can see that for yourself!

Enjoyed Railfest. Visited your booth at the curve but you were in Cresson. Oh well, got a T-shirt (Penn Central of course) and a new copy TRS2009 to support the society. The trip was by accident. A girl friend and I went to visit some friends in Altoona and stopped at a favorite restaurant near the Station Inn at Cresson and the abnormal amount of railfans in the area reminded me that this weekend was railfest. No camera but I caught this train at the curve.:hehe:

sorry i missed ya!! the guys told me when i got back someone was looking for me! couldnt pass up a trip outside the curve since last year I was there ALL weekend and didnt leave once. Was a nice deviation from the norm and i know new places to go now too!

yes the Juniata Terminal E8s were there again this year. the CRHS is actual chartering an excursion in October with the E8s as the power as well so if you want another opportunity to see em check out our website.. www.thecrhs.org
