Too much negative... Let's be positive.

DISREGUARD: Okay, TS2009... not the best. However, they were testing a few things out. It looked incredibly different in appearance and assets. Not stable. :n:

Okay, TS2010... not the best. Speedtree is a dud. We all know that one. If you hit 100mph, the tree look like there dancing...probably. Oh, and the download link is having a few problems. Maybe unstable.:n:

...how about the pluses?

Okay, TS2009...content is out. It is detailed, it has great upgrades. The new cab is amazing. So, yes, the sound sucks. It's good sound, but it's overkilled by thousands of assets having it. Even worse is the asset doesn't have an EMD 645 prime mover. However, the SD40-2 does. The track is great. I was amazed a little computer my uncle had it in was under the minimum requirements barely and I could load coal into hoppers with that SD40-2 for Union Pacific and not worry about glitches. The track, nice. You can see so much, it's an amazing improvement. I don't care how deep the texture is on MP standard track, high detail like TS2009 will win. Even www.uslw.net 's track is detailed like that, and I love it. :Y:

Okay, TS2010...They upgraded more! More and more default content is amazingly detailed. I'm sure they expanded it. Honestly, if I was to have a choice, TS2010 or TC 1&2, I would chose TS2010. Why? Why not. This is supposed to be what TS2009 was. They have a problem, and if you read, there's a fix being work on. It's likely to be better, and if it's not, that's okay. Every thing is looking detailed, except the trees.:Y:

Come on guys, Auran would never wrong us. They are trying to get with the modern program of high detail in little packages. They are trying to detail things, let them work it out. We should support...not complain. Maybe offer friendly advice and even let them know our opinion on it. Yes, goods and bad may be offered, but think improvement.

Cheers,
Joshua

With respect, the SpeedTree issue is a clash with ATI drivers, as reported by Auran. You keep calling it a dud, but for many people it isn't. And given that you apparently don't actually own 2010, how do you know it's a dud?

Other than that I agree that there's a lot of bashing going on. Save it for Microsoft, I say.

What negativity? If one pays $40 bucks for an upgrade, more than lipstick is required.

Of course 2010 runs better, they took all the incompatible old material out. Running 2009 without incompatible material does the same thing.

If Auran was a "Zombie Shooter" company they would be out of business.

BTW, the SD40 has the wrong dimensions. Not their fault though, they didn't create it, they just bought it off of the internet.

TRS2010 looks like it has promise, I just think that the time and energy of having animated trees could have been better spent on other improvements, like allowing non animated speed trees be able to be placed, as well as compatable Alpha style trees(The superior old kind.) also be able to be placed.(As they look better from a distance.)

Maybe, but what this has to do with Trainz is anybody's guess.

What that has to do with Trainz? With no competition you can still produce crap and charge $40 bucks. What is the alternative? RailFail!!!!

2010 is the last "update" for me. Yeah, wait for the next "SP", never could get the 2009 SP2 to work.

Stick with 2006 like a bunch of people. It run great with TrainzTuner and most of the content available will always be 2004 and 2006. What new content has come out for 2009 that is better.

Disappointed

Stick with 2006 like a bunch of people.
The version of Trainz that best suits the needs of a user is a decision that each individual can make only after gathering whatever information is available to them.

One size will never fit all.

While its nice to have a positive attitude in general, this remark is rather silly if you ask me.
You ask for positivity, yet you base a whole product's quality on:
1) an issue that is only an issue for a specific amount of people and arguably not even TRS's fault.
2) the fact that the servers are swamped and results in download issues.

Especially the last one isn't any bearing for quality of a product at all.
If people judge the game then do it on facts and game issues, not side effects of a release.
Again, its nice you want to add a positive note, because frankly there is a lot of b**ching going on at the moment, but the above kind of statements are in the same league of those arguements against the game that hold no substance.

All accusations are now nullified.

Arg! I see my mistake! How annoying that I did that. I completely forgot about it being a clash with the ATI drivers.

I was not trying to make such a stupid post. I do agree with the posts said.

Especially Yskonyn.

I don't know why I wasn't thinking fully when the post was made. I did already read about the servers. I sincerely apologize for the post. I accept all posts, and I do regret it, but I see what's done is done. "dud" was the most horrid word I think I could have used. I should have said "Still being worked out..." or something similar. I wish to delete this topic, but that would be wrong. This is a reminder for me. Keep my mouth shut, until I have everything cleared out.

Thank you all, I understand this thread is in the same league as the complaints, likely even lower. I will delete it upon request.

As for TS2010, all of my accusations are to be forgotten and nullified as of this post. Any further accusations of mine are to be anknowleaged, but let it be known, I now do not side with my first post. Same goes for TS2009.

Good day,
Joshua
