Well for years Ive read model railroader articles on projects and have really liked them. I thought that the trainz community could have something like this, so I came up with a plan and a name. This route will not be released but it will be taught, if that makes sense. The plan is a model railroad of sorts so it will be easy and fun to create for Noobs and Pros alike.
So lets get on with Part 1: Track work and Terrain.
So first off I should show the track layout I came up with (it may be kinda hard to see):
So the area inclosed is a scrap yard the building to the right of the town is a grain elevator and the building on the outer edge is a farm supply company
So when I lay the track I make sure the curves are subtle and the straights are well straight.
This is a technique I done usually use but its just to show the people where the buildings and roads and such are to be
Then comes the terrain, remember to make it smooth and subtle
and remember to make the track mix in with the terrain with the track level tool.
Then I just run a test train to make sure everything works correctly
