Thumbnails

Screenshot you'll find the image under user data so something like C:\TS12\UserData\screenshots then use a graphics editor such as GIMP, PaintShop Pro, paint.net to trim down the screenshot and possibly resize it to 240 by 180 save as .jpg. I normally take three screenshots in case one doesn't get saved.

How can I make thumbnails in Ts12?? Thank You:wave:

To crop an image to that size firstly create a crop rectangle of 240x180. Then expand the crop rectangle while maintaining the width/height proportion. This varies according to your graphics editor, but is usually something like Shift + LMB at one corner of the crop rectangle. When you have the crop rectangle at the right size for the asset in the image, move it as required so everything is properly centred, and execute the crop. Now resize the whole image to 240x180 and save as $screenshot$.jpg.

For simple of Loco or Rolling Stock
EZ way...Install PEV's train mesh viewer.
Run CM and R click open with TrainCar Viewer bat. R click in viewer window/make thumbnail/save
config.txt must have a thumbnail tag.
OR
For all assets open in explorer/R click the *im file/open with TrainMesh Viewer/ R click in viewer window/make thumbnail/save

thumbnails
{
0
{
width 128
height 64
image "$screenshot$.jpg"

Hope this helps

Of course, you don't actually have to create a thumbnail, just amend the config.txt in your CMP to alleviate the warning, fool the CM into thinking that there is one installed, especially, if you have quite a few assets to repair, do a simple copy and paste into every config.txt.

Cheerz. ex-railwayman.
