Throwing Switches in Surveyor

Hi!

I am new to Trains A New Era. I am having a blast creating routes but I can't figure out how to throw switches while in Surveyor.

Is it possible to do this? And if yes, can you tell me how?

Is this even the right place to ask this question?

Often I have found I have to go to the Asset list - Trackside items. At the bottom is a pitchfork-shaped icon. Click on that and then click on the switch you want to change. That will usually change the switch

quickest way to do it is, F4 > Y > J, that will select the junction tool for you

Yup that's it - the pitchfork thing.

Hint:

You can use this to test your signaling and track too.

Place a locomotive down with the green arrow pointing in the direction of travel.

Place your signals as required.

With your switch in between, the signal in front of your locomotive should change aspects. If they do not change, you need to check things out such as track to ensure it's connected properly to such assets as crossings, bridges, and industries (stations included), and that the signals are setup correctly.

This was one of those tricks I learned way back when I first started on my Trainz journey from one of the old-timers in the forums. Sadly I can't remember who passed that little tidbit of info on.
