This site vs typing ?

Is it just me or are others having this problem? As I type I am constantly having to stop back up and redo, sometimes over and over, to get a word entered.

I can type locomotive and 3 times out of 4 it gets lost in translation. Even this post I've had to slow way way down still back up and fix problems. This is not something I see in other places.

I do an awful lot of typing and this is driving me batty!

Use a speech recognition program, or Dragon

I don't know what causes words to erase when you go back and edit a post, it sometimes happens on Skype too.

I have to agree.

I only use 2 fingers so you wouldn't think I could type fast enough to confuse the program yet it pretty much skips every 3rd or 4th letter and a lot of the letters that do appear are not what I hit (I'm not hat bad a typist, lol). Correction is even worse. It can take as many as 3 attempts to enter a single letter and even then the letter I hit its not always what appears on the screen. This only happens on Forum - no where else

Two simple rules:
1. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
2. New an improved isn't necessarily better.

What ever got changed needs to be changed back.

Switch to source mode. It's the top left button with two letter A's in it. Otherwise you could type your post in a word processor and paste it here, easy peasy.
In my experience I haven't encountered major problems, only the occasional cursor jumping around especially when bold or italics are used. Seems to have started relatively recently.

In many of these situations switching browser will help. If you're on Internet Explorer try Chrome or Firefox instead, If you're on one of the latter try switching to the other one. I myself use Firefox, and have never had typing problems on any website, but I know many people who have had typing problems with IE.

Solution

In Internet Explorer, go to the "Tools" menu.
In that menu, select "Compatibility View settings". A new screen will open.
Add "auran.com" to that list.

This is what solved it on my laptop with IE 11.0

Switching to another browser is not always possible.
Example: Work allows you to browse to this website during your coffee break, but does not allow you to install a different browser on your work PC.

@ dstelley,
Let me know of my suggestion solves your problem.

This is me typing as fast as I can in Source mode.

So far no issues..... Maybe?

Thanks for this suggestion. Compatibility mode was already set... Chrome and Firefox not allowed where I am.

This does seem to work though so, thanks!:)
