Hi Everybody
I have to fundamentally disagree that 1970 was a good year. It brought to an end the great era of the 1960s with the Beatles, Rolling Stones along with the likes of Sonny and Cher etc.

They were great times here in Britain but I can understand that America may feel different.

Ah take me down reminiscent Lane where the grass was always greener and life was beautiful with all that flower power.

Happy Days and dream on

Strangely, I actually remember the 1st January 1970 - I was five (almost six) and I noticed they were showing special programmes on the TV. I was informed that this was because it was 'new year's day' and this was the first time I was ever aware of such a concept. Strange how you remember things like that! :o

That means the next Trainz version is not TS2011, it will be Pre-Historic Trainz, a program made to run on computers of that era.
I'd better drag out my Hollerith card punch then! Will the postage still be at 1970 rates when I send my cards to the local mainframe computer for processing?

TrainzGames, the movie

I just looked at a computer history site.

Around 1970,
- No mouse
- No printers
- No CD/DVD
- No 3.5 or 5.25 floppies, 8" was new and something else came before that
- Barely VCRs

I have this image of TS1970 needing the NORAD supercomputer WOPR to run.
And I see someone here starting WWIII.:p
