Looking Just South of Iron Street Junction.

Barely visible...on the Left a Branch off the DSS&A North Main merging into the CNW Main south of the Yard....the Yard mostly CNW Except the 2 tracks on the Right...property of the DSS&A South Main merging drectly into the C&NW Yard for transfers. The lower line on the Right is the LS&I it merges into the C&NW Main. The CNW Main that now has all three Railroads on it is heading for 2 places...the Partridge Yard or Palmer MI.

The far right Branch is the LS&I crossing over all this Mess for either the Hogan Yard or Eagle Mills.

Looking back at the Mess from the NW.

And the mess ain't over yet, still all the service tracks and turnarounds to go in.

All in all though, even with out the service tracks...pretty much wipes out all the goofy angled street intersections.

Railroading in 3D, well 3 Levels.

More SE Negaunee, MI Track details as the DSS&A Storage Yard and Palmer Branch is added in.

That trackage on the inside of the LS&I turn front Second Level is the Breitung Hematite Mine Yard not yet complete.

Map View of SE Neguanee, MI

Iron Street Junction is the crossover on the top of both Yards. Needless to say it is where Iron Street Neguanee is today.

No Google Earth...source Plat Maps.

Looking Directly SE from the DSS&A Depot.

Lower left; CNW Main to Yard, to Partridge Yard a.k.a. "the start of the Ore Subdivision" & to a Palmer, MI Branch.

Upper Left DSS&A N & S Main both sides of Depot, Up the Center of the Pic, DSS&A small yard on the Palmer Branch. The DSS&A big yard is to the NE not yet completed. LS&I trackage off in the distance to the right and overpass center not yet completed.

OH Yea, and it's not flat.

There are 6 grades on that hill for all 6 tracks running down the side of that hill.:)

That's why this is taking so long, it's not just a matter of slapping down some track and hit the level button....if you leave that button alone....the track fits in like a glove....just like the map says. And if you are counting track, there is one behind me.

WCL this is a before on Negaunee, MI

Not the best shot, because you are looking at 15 baseboards, 5 across by 3 deep which are effected by restoring Negaunee, MI from a time period 1890-about 1970.

This is the today shot with just the LS&I line running through the Harris Yard where I left some trees top right. Twisted up roads all over south town.

This is a similar view...

with rails almost in 70%, of Peak Rail Negaunee, MI.

Filling up most of them 15 baseboards... It's really interesting to see where these come out in relation to currently existing lines. The LS&I is in fact a cobble-U job of mish-mashed DSS&A & CNW.

It really helps to have a Plat Map.

And I just came in posession of one from Republic, MI on one of the lower wings of this Dem. None of the city or rail, or lakes are outlined with HOG Colors on the Dem becuause its on the edge.

But I found the lakes by applying water to the area....and it all just popped out from there.

I have the complete layout of Republic.....the CNW, the DSS&A, MILW, & the LS&I down there...the Mine Sidings support buildings, rail placement junctions and spurs lot numbers, streets everything.......

So I'll be adding in that important mining Town too to this DEM.

What's gonna be cool....

I've identified 86 freight movements on these lines on any particular day, back in the day.

I've run 50 consists at one time on this...so far...as I get in the Mines, Service Points and Portals for thru traffic....this thing is gonna be a bitch. Trains running everywhere going every place. It'd be like dodgeball, just to keep from getting hit.

Couple other Mine Locations on Plats with Pictures identified, the Ohio Mine, and the Champion Mine along with what the average shipment was, and frequency. Hauled from what Mine by Who, to Where, Picked up Who to Where and Taken There or There...

Ie...the daily interchanges in these Yards. History, Bet on it.

Speaking of Mines....

Iron Mines....there aren't none. I suppose you could put together some coal tipples and reskin them. But My GOD, Coal Boys....Size Matters.

Some of the Iron Ore Loaders up here Look like that crooked branch flood loader three tracks wide 80ft tall, with the lola mine building on top of it.

Size matters....and them coal assets are dinky stuff.

It'd take forever and a day to put out a Train with one of them dinky things. We're filling up Ships over a 1/4 Mile Long....it's like trying to cook a Steak with a Match with these undersized assets..

I need somebody like Ben Dorsery...

To put together some Iron Ore Assets, I'd work with him. Just make'm and I'd paint them.

Far as everything else goes I'm voting for a Referee next Election or a Patato Chip, can't exactly make up my mind.

Think of it, that's what our Government was suppose to be, nothing more as our Origional 13 States gave it it's Power....in the first place.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Referee

Everything else...it's taken upon itself to do, other then National Defense....is out of bounds. And being an American saying that, can get me arrested and held in jail...until, and whenever, if ever they deceide to let me out without a Trail by Jury.

My point exactly.

Times are changing...times are changing every day.

And I see it, but being an ole useless guy, I'll be the first to hold out my hand with my middle finger extended...and tell them what I think of all this.

And believe me, I'm not the Shxtstorm. I just see it comming.

In case you don't get my meaning on Referee......

A Referee calls the game based on rules...the Constitution....the Referee does not change the rules to influence
the game...of the United States...aka the Constitution. If the rules to the game are changed its up to the teams...aka States that gave the Referee it's power.

What we got going on now..is a game....LIFE, and the Referee...Federal Government, is just way over it's head in debt by promising stuff to people to get relected, so they could continue to call the game...shots. How can they be broke....Where's the Million they owe me? I paid in my Social Security for the last 40 years, and I can't draw for 10.

Answer, they took my Million, and gave it to somebody else who would vote for them in the next election,.....not all at once. But bit, by bit over my 40 years of working.

So I get nothing but this mess?

That's not a Referees Job to buy everybody in the Stadium a hot dog & beer with somebody elses money , so they can call it as they see it, and do what ever they want.

Like I said shxtstorm....

This Country needs a cold boot and it's gonna get it...

And what do you expect me to do?

Times are changing...times are changing every day....

I mean, do you know your Great Grandpa's Name? Great Great Grandpa?

Well I know every one of mine from 200 years before Jesus Christ was Born.

So in a way the concept of the United States...[considering my Family History...Conqueror of England...Vikings from Normandy France. You know how we got Normandy? Charles the Chicken King of France gave it to us for not buring Paris to the Ground in the 800's]........is just another milepost.

Great Britian wouldn't be what it is today or had any History to look back on, if we hadn't gone up there and "united the kingdoms", bunch a pudwacker small kingdoms woulda never ever got over themselves and got off that island.....if we hadn't took them all out.........and lined them up into what they are today..."The United Kingdom or a Union of Kingdoms" [sounds like United States] ....we assembled them into a Nation through our Viking Power. I don't even have to explain that any further, If we hadn't done what we did then, NOTHING would have ever been like it was or is.

I'm a Viking. Know it, and damm proud of it.

Test me I'll give you every name....of every man in the Family for over 68 generations.

Just in case you think they were all no nothing Kings of England...

Try out this one;

King Richard the Lionheart, Yup he was in my Family.. He ain't any part of those folks over in Great Britian Today...they are not related to him, I AM.

I can tell you who gave him his knick name, when, where, and what battle. And he's my Family not them current Royals...they are at best Pudwackers compared to that Manly Viking King.

The question I have is why don't you know your family?

Bad Ass Viking Shxt.

We didn't just Take over Lands, one of our best Ideas was Trial by Jury. Not the King or the Government. And FWIW, we plantagenets didn't get 3 Gold Lions on a Crimson sheild for being Pussies.

The Empire Mine Pocket loader is similar but only 1 track wide.

We call'um Super Pocket Loaders.

Those are ex-DMIR hoppers in the lower right background, should look like this w/out the reflective strips which I hate. These will be ready soon - but about to head out of the country for two weeks so there will be a wait.
