As promised YR Stream Paint has been Uploaded to the DLS.

Remember it's not just lay it down, and done.

Use it first as the base(spun)...then a bottom or rapids texture(spun), side texture(spun), and then back over the top nice and easy(spun).

There are no license restriction whatsoever, so feel free to change it's color to match your region.

Merry Christmas....:)

BTW if you want those YR...

Yarnish assets...somebody is gonna hav'ta say pretty please with sugar on top. Or I'm just gonna keep'm for myself.

Yea....loose the lines.

More rural...now at least when cars are driving everywhich way they want...It's just typical up north driving. Everybody knows, if nobody's comming the other way get in the center of the road, that way you can go either way when a Moose Jumps out of the bush.

BTW..their schwanz is just above the level of a pickup truck hood.... Imagine a Cow on stilts....I know I've seen one, one time doing 70mph. I was in the center of the road and he was going right to left...I went right. I don't even want to do that again.

And don't go out after dark-thirty in the far North Woods unless you are stupid.

And you don't even want to hit one....I saw a Peterbuilt up on the Queens Highway in Ontario that met one. I think everything was dead in and around that truck.

just a question, but what roads for streets and highways do you use for your routes, I would like to find them so I can use them for a route I am doing

Champion MI Rebuilt

4 Railroads were using this area circa 1930's.

The Chicago, Milwaukee & St Paul is seen comming up from the South, Left.

Then the DSS&A & LS&I on tracks 1 & 2, and the CNW 3. Looking from the Right Bottom. I now have all maps of all yards on this route.

If one were going for steam on this, where the Highway is there was East to West...a coal shed, water tank, 2 stall engine house, ice house...and down the line where you see a station represented. There was first a joint depot, and then a DSS&A Freight House.

I'm using the Yarnish System by STREADWAY

He has pretty much taken over updating the origional Yarn Road System created by MADDY25. Streadway has fixed some of the Yarn issues going foward in TS10 & TS12 that have not beed addressed by the origional author.

Plus he has added a number of new assets for the system.

Replumbed Champion MI.

On the far right you have the C&NW Republic Branch comming down from the North at Clowery JCT, crossing over the Main and heading South towards Republic, MI...eventually Chicago.

On the Top left you have the Chicago Milwaukee & St Paul comming up from Republic, MI in the South...Freight & Passengers were Exchanged in Champion,MI between all the roads.

I'm not sure yet sure if the C&NW & the CHStP&P shared that line going into Republic...I'll find out in a few.

But...far out in the shot.....everything is headed towards Michigamme, MI to the West....the next Yard to Redo.

Well if you or anybody needs some help using the paint.

Thanks Wawasoo for the upload of your steam paint ! I think i will use the ''replace asset tool'' in some area of my route.

Rail4Pete

Post up here the next few days or so what you have done, or if you are having problems...maybe I can help. It is an aquired skill using that paint. On a 1 to 10, I'd say it was an 7 and takes some practice.

Somethings you just have to put off to another day.

Like finishing the East Yard in Marquette.

I know there was a round house...used by the DSS&A, the SOO and WC.

But the exact layout was beyond me until today. And I solved a mystry spur question up at eagle mills.

That track I just layed down comes off the far right track at the point where it begins to curve left.

The line goes east toward the Carp River...

Winds through the hills following a stream....until it comes in here at Eagle Mills. Mystery solved.

It's the DSS&A South Main. Nicknamed the "Horn"

The DSS&A North Main comes under the current LS&I tracks at "Bagdad" which is already done into downtown Marquette from the south, and I have both Yard Maps.:mop:

What the SOO & WC called the East Yard by the Power Plant...the Duluth South Shore & Atlantic(DSS&A) called it the Lower Yard. The Upper Yard, was actually South of Town on the North Main.

The Google Earth images....

show bits and pieces of the South Main. To really put it in where it needs to be, you need a map. Which I have.

The North Main was built by The Iron Mountian RR in the 1850's, and the South Main was built by the Marquette & Western RR in the 1880's.

This must just be Mystery Solving Day.

I've had another Track mark and a dock outline which I'd almost given up on.

But Mystery Solved....The Blue Mark I left ...Well that's the lead track to a dock I'd all but given up on...and had grayed over in the lake.

There was a Lumber Mill there. Owned by the Dead River Lumber Co.

And get this it was a short line that operated over the North Main. It had it's own Engine.

You'll never guess...

Yup the Dead River Railroad ....comming back on the route off the LS&I West Yard over the Dead River Back through the North Part of Marquette and Branching off at Bagdad. And getting its Own Jointed Rail Nasty Loco for Itself.

It's a Trainz Game.....Screw the Streets & Roads, houses and buildings.

You want a Marquette Model...take a picture and have at it. I wanna Play with Trainz.

That Name was just too cool to pass up using.

SO, Goodbye Bigfoot Timber Co.. Hello! Dead River Rail..

The're set up for Hunting Season.

What movie are they shooting there...'Tanks alot Bigfoot'?:D

You're from across the Pond...let me explain.

When a Michigander Turns 16 and gets their drivers license...they have to drive to another state and cut off 7 feet of guardrail and attach it to the front of their car.....drive up north and hunt deer with their car.

Unless you own a Tank. ....

In which case, you can hunt without the guardrail strapped to the front of your car.

Coming from my model railroading background, and knowing that at one club we have at least 30 nude people hidden in buildings and train cars. I have to ask, how many Bigfoots and M4's are hidden through out the railroad? Or wont you tell?
