The wrong Content Manager opening up!

This utility of Shane's has done the trick spot on, when I change from one to the other in the 'tool' the correct CM opens up every time.
Regarding what you have said Phil.... That didn't work for me mate, I had already tried having CM open before downloading and sometimes it was OK but other times the other CM used to fire up, I'd be sitting there waiting for a download to start up in TS10 CM and all of a sudden TS12 CM would open up.

I tried the utility to switch the associations back to my installation on H:\Trainz\TS12. But when I opened up the CityRail3 CoastalCommuter route CDP, it went to the H:\Trainz\TS2009 CM instead. In other words, the utility failed to work. I did run the utility as administrator, and Microsoft Security Essentials saw no problem with the software. No instance of Trainz was running at the time, and all drives containing installed copies of Trainz were connected properly. Is there something wrong with the program, or am I doing something wrong?

Did you change the associated version in the utility before you tried installing? I don't think it auto detects which one you want, I think you have to set it to the version you want before downloading and then it just makes sure the correct CM opens up.

The current version of the utility will need to be run before you download using a Download(Helper) option.

Shane

And what of the CDP program associations? Does your utility change that?

@jon157uk, I did select the correct Trainz install (H:\Trainz\TS12). The TS2009 install is the latest on my system, so the setup.exe fixed the file associations for that Content Manager. That's why I've sought the utility.

Hi Scottbe8,

Thankyou for your comments. I will look into adding support for changing .cdp,.cdp2, and .cmpa files into the next update of the program.

Shane
