While trolling wikipedia (which is what i do in my free time now that i don't have a trainz computer and therefore, trainz:'() i came across a page about a ship called SS Thistlegorm, which was sunk by German Hienkel He111 bombers off Egypt. it carried bren carriers, boots, rifles and ammo, and a pair of LMS Stainer 8F 2-8-0s as deck cargo. the engines were near where the bomb struck, and one was apparently under the blast itself.

this one is lying on its side off to the vessels' port side. As you can tell, it took a pounding from the explosion. i can't find the other one in pictures...apparently that one is still more or less intact. both the tenders are unharmed.
Not really supposed to mean anything or be useful, just found it interesting and thought i'd post.
