in 2010 is a matter of the right locomotive? Hmmm. I've been at 2010 for a week now and i'm finding that different loco's have better sound effects than others. The SD70's have always sounded bad as far back 2006 but I found that the CHN ND5-1 (GE C36-7) in 2010 sounds pretty good,so finding the right loco in the game may be part of the answer to good loco sound even though the sound still could be better than it is. Time for some more caffine and back to 2010 I go.

Sounds are MUCH better in TS2010, so much so I am having to upgrade all my loco sounds to take advantage of more accurate and better loco sounds.
