Well, I have several on the DLS. I also have some payware locos, but my site is down right now and will be for the forseeable future. You can still get them directly from me.

Alright, I've been trainz-less for three months, but i can do this...
USLW: the S1 2-8-2 (3254) is back up
there's a couple on TPR

san juan trainz
carson car shops: if you're in to the 1880's
east coast trainz had some cool 2-6-0s, but they've vanished
lilb's AC-12 off his forum (+the upcoming GS-4 Daylight)
that's about it, i think

Paul's Trainz has tons of U.S. and foreign steam. If you like foreign steam, Pet_Shop_Boys has about 250 models, though he took most of them down, and they're cheap especially on sale.
I'm mentioning these payware sites for completeness' sake. But you could get a loco and tender for $3 from the latter site if you catch them on sale. At least you could.

um sawyer811 those 2-6-0's havent vanished the old ECT is still up I stumbled across it two weeks ago but to find the link for that just go to trainz PA and find the boston switch route 1.0 and for the dependiencies go to the link for the switch machienes and it shouled bring you there. also download lib's AC-12 great model and maby in the future his new Gs-4. but if you want exclent steam engins go to VMD's website for their southern Ps-4 and the NYC K5b although they are $10 they are worth it the bell swings the whistle cord pulls back, ad there is an animated fireman in the cab those aren't evean half of the features.
