The screenshot Program

anthonyg

To many projects.....
Does anyone know of a program that takes trainz screenshots. If so can you tell me where to download it

Well there are two ways from this. The way i do it, is to press Print Screen, then open Paint, Paste in paint and save, and re-do the process for all the images you want.
The second way which i think JB was refering to, is to open your screenshots folder located D:\Program Files (x86)\Auran\TRS2006\ScreenShots, and then using some software convert the .tga files into .jpg, however i dont know what program it is they use.

*Note: D:\Program Files (x86)\Auran\TRS2006\ScreenShots
Where mine says D drive, revert that to your local disk that TRS is installed on.
Where mine says (x86), this is if you are running x64 Vista, if your not, ignore this.

To upload images, you will need to sign upto a picture site, like Photobucket, register, and then it is pretty self explaetary(spelling)

Hope this helps.

thank you i just made a photobucket account so ill get the pics to the forum soon......One thing it said that my pics were not one of there format styles. Im now guessing i need the program

another way is to use a program like FRAPS. which will take a screenshot of alot of different programs (games, movies, etc) and will put them in a specified location in an easy-to-use format.

The screenshots are saved as .tga files, most hosting sites require the pics to be in jpeg format, there are a few free graphic programs out there to edit and convert the tga's to jpeg's.
My favorites are photofiltre, and paint.net, both programs are freeware and do a lot of editing functions of the high priced graphics programs.
