The PM's in the forums

I can't speak for PM's, but I have sent a couple of E Mails through the system that have not been received. I think it may all be related to the member list, which was slowing the forum, and was disabled.

I just sent you a test PM...tell me if you got it.

The 'auto name completion' was working as I typed in your forum name to the address field, so that part at least has not been disabled.

Inability to reply to a Private Message can mean that you have hit the limit on stored private messages, which is 50. This includes both received and sent private messages. You can check this at the bottom of the Private Messages page - if there is no green showing, you need to delete one or more private messages (if you want to keep a record, use the Download as Text option first)

The version of the vBulletin forum software used before the February forum update showed the number of new private messages and the total number of stored private messages at the top-right of the screen (under the welcome message), as well as a bold warning if your PM box was 90% full or above. It also showed the date and time of your last visit to the forum. The current vBulletin version 4 that the forum currently uses, however, does not show this information. :( Instead, there is a "Notifications" link at the very top-right of the screen among other user-related links that is highlighted when you receive a new private message or other notification, which can be clicked to list the new notifications.

Whenever I need to download private messages to my computer, I always download them in XML format, which perhaps could be viewed in a more user-friendly form if a dedicated viewer program was made; I started on writing one in Java in the recent past but have not gotten back to it yet.

Regards,

Zachary.

That's still on my to-do list, which seems to be rather large at the moment as I'm having to deal with various Trainz issues along with things outside Trainz.
