Does anyone know what speeds the Long Meg anhydrite workings were permitted to run at? The Hellifield signal box site mentions them running under Class J headlamps, but "Steam over the roof of England" shows the empties running as Class 5 (D) and the full trains running under Class 6 (E) express freights. Were they accelerated in the mid-60s?
