The Great Train Race

I watched the first show then this second one this year. It was highly entertaining having a competiton second year round with a German team. Building a double track model rail line ten miles or so on a former branchline was a great idea. Soemone even concoted a portable track layer for continuous ease. The locals in both towns and inbetween seemed to get as much fun as the programme makers. That Hornby Flying Scotsman did exceptionally well and it wasn't bought yesterday either!

That is just plain bizarre. Why would the BBC bar anyone from around the world from watching such a video. But, when I consider how crippled the "BBC America" satellite channel is, it makes sense.

Watched it this morning. How mad was that? At 7 hours for 700 scale miles, that's impressive. Is there a cab ride DVD available... Hehe.

Also the same reason I can't watch US broadcaster's programmes. Probably something to do with copyright.

I loved it though. I'm sure someone will stick it on poochube before too long, until it gets spotted.
