The Erecting Hall Screenshot thread

that is a nice looking line up of mean and intimidating looking steam engines trainman, keep up the great work!

Did you get inspiration on putting the bell next to the headlight instead of above it from Milwaukee Road 261? I don't know of any other, at least operating, steamer with the bell where you put yours. Also, I noticed that the one of the left has smoke deflectors. What's the reason behind it? Was it an experiment like what the Union Pacific did with one of the Big Boys? Was the one with the smoke deflector used on passenger trains while the others are used for freight service, or vice versa? Or is there another reason? Just curious as to the reason behind the addition of smoke deflectors.

Inspiration for the bell.... actually the whole front end came from the Western Maryland J1 Potomac. The smoke deflectors are added as a clickable mesh simply because I like smoke deflectors lol. Both passenger and freight use the deflectors.

That is one beautiful locomotive ya got there Chance. Excited to see where it goes next!

Freshly repainted GP9 can't even get fully refitted before it's ordered out into the rain to shuffle some local freight cars around... still needs new numbers at the least!

I'm not sure that's a 2900... if it is I might as well just quit mine. I haven't had time to work on it in a very long time. All I have is a boiler, cab, and wheels.

I just happen to have a book lying around somewhere, i'll take a look and see where in it that the 2900s are mentioned, I might need to know about this particular 4-8-4 northern myself.
