The Erecting Hall Screenshot thread

OR... Orrrr... We can just leave it to the creator to make whatever schemes he wants... But hey, input is appreciated(?)

I thought I remembered seeing Screenshots of Reading or Erie Lackawanna Alcos as well some time ago. Keep up god's work, I'm glad to see TEH constructing all of this awesome content!

I Figured Vinnie Would Like This . . .

Hey if anyone of you get The Science Channel, tonight at 7:00PM-to 8:00PM Eastern Time, will be a repeat of Mythbusters episode Duct Tape Plane; However, it will also feature Excavator Exuberance, where they will test viral videos featuring excavators. I figured Vinnie would be interested in watching it tonight.

There's no need to wait:

Just watch it on his phone or PC.

Let it be known on this day that I, Cooper H. leaked the existence of a GE E60 currently in the works by Nick (and I, who is barking orders down to him). I know, I know, its absolutely scandalous.

Cooper your foam is getting out of hand, Therefore I must order a cease and desist on that absolutely barbaric post

While they foam over E60s, I'll take center stage briefly..

Fresh SW1200 reskins for both Milwaukee Road and Silver Lines.

Silver Lines Phase 2 skin works well with the SW1200, though the side of the cab here looks a little bland. Other side works better.

Extremely happy with how these chevron-style striping ended up. This is a look I'll have to use on more locomotives as I skin them.

Now, for the Milwaukee Road SW1200. I think this is actually my first real attempt at a proto-skin, and I'm very pleased with the results.

Finding the right orange colour to use was a painful task but the result ended up coming out rather well. I might consider using a slightly lighter one, but I think this works excellently.

At the end of the day, getting these done was great. There are minor details that need to be fixed on the MILW unit - a couple spots where things didn't translate well or one of the many GIMP crashes caused an issue with colours. The obvious issue is neither has working numberboards, but I've sent them off to vinnie so he can hopefully fix that and see what's up with some mismatched blacks on the MILW unit.

MILW #1216 is up next!

Cheers,
SM

I once lived in Tenino WA for about 10 years and about 100 yards from the main line from Seattle to Portland. Seen a lot of the Cascade cars going by at 60+. They look just like that. Good job. Don

I really need to finish something before I get distracted on making other models. "Sigh" One day I will get the job done.

any plans on releasing the talgos? :o

If I can get permission from STR to release it, and host it on TEH, then sure. Until then I'm just going to focus on finishing the set (Talgo VII end cars will have to do, as there isn't a Talgo 8 generator car or cab car for Trainz yet).
