The "Dunn & Duffy Circus" train question

I was watching Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade recently and wondered, "What kind of train was the circus train and where was it filmed?"

I think it was a narrow gauge locomotive like the ones used on the Durango & Siverton and Cumbres & Tultec railroads, K-something or other,
but I'm not sure.

Any ideas?

I thought so! I only know of two places that has that kind of locomotive, and one of those places (Durango & Silverton) doesn't seem to have enough flat, grassy land to be the place that scene was shot.
