The Docks and Piers that never fill in ..

Hello, I have two routes, B-Project 1-5 by Asser, and a recently download one called Westhaven Trams 1-1.
They both contain complex pier dependencies made by Solagon. The general numbers are in the kuid2:193038: range. (I am using Trainz 2004, the last update).

These have German names, so I don't really know exactly what they are, these are generally named

SG Kai Weichenhebel2 (Germany) <KUID2:193038:23001:1> Mojunction
SG Kaiblock SP 16 (Germany) <KUID2:193038:39013:1> Mocrossing
SG Kaiblock ZK 16 (Germany) <KUID2:193038:39022:1> Mocrossing
SG Kaiblock ZK 32 (Germany) <KUID2:193038:39023:1> Mocrossing
SG Kaiecke aussen ZK (Germany) <KUID2:193038:39036:1> Mocrossing
SG Kaigleis1435 alt (Germany) <KUID2:193038:38000:1> Track
SG Kaigleis760 alt (Germany) <KUID2:193038:38002:1> Track
SG Kaigleis760 blank (Germany) <KUID2:193038:38004:1> Track
SG Kaimauer SP (Germany) <KUID2:193038:39005:1> Track
SG Kaimauer ZK (Germany) <KUID2:193038:39025:1> Track
SG Schiene unsichtbar (Germany) <KUID2:193038:38001:1> Track

And a couple more, which I have. Trainz Objectz tells me that there are no missing SG or KUID2:193038: pieces in either route, but some chunks are missing and the piers are not complete.

There are perhaps fifty of these "SG" pieces in a pack on the DLS. But I am not about to download each and every one by FTP.. on dial-up yet !!! Any observations or ideas on how I could handle this?

(even humor would be appreciated at this point)! Robert P.

If they are in a pack then I would assume that means there is only one download, so it's not clear exactly what the issue is.

If they are not in a pack and the problem is that you don't want to manually select each one for downloading via FTP, then write a script and download them in bulk using TrainzUtil.

You need installfromdls and @<file.txt>.

Ok Bob, I will see if I can work with TrainzUtil, (though I don't know how to write a script). I see that there is a TrainzUtil.exe in my Classics 1&2 folder. I am thinking that it is no longer permitted for me to download packs with the old versions of Trainz I am using, (2004 and Classics 1&2). But if it is permitted, it will be great!

I'll see what I can do. It is a mystery to me that two separate routes using these dependencies show nothing missing.

I'm at the point where I'm sick of randomly downloading these dock parts one by one, probably twenty already, when Trainz Objectz says I have all the required parts. Perhaps it is time to just patch in some splines that don't belong there to make it look acceptable!

I have been proceeding thinking that these docks are so complex that some great illusion is created, but probably not.

Best wishes, Bob P.

Ok Bob, I will see if I can work with TrainzUtil, (though I don't know how to write a script).

The 'script' is nothing more than a series of lines that differ only in the kuid. You create it in a text editor by starting with the list copied from CM using 'copy to clipboard' for the required assets, deleting the descriptions, putting " around the kuid and inserting the trainzutil command line in front of it. A proper text editor allows you to do this with a few replace commands.

Well thanks very much for your information Bob. I have put in too much effort trying to get these docks filled in.
I have all the dock Kuids needed by these routes.
I'll just try to fill them in with patchwork scenery the best I can.
