Ok this one is a bit of a stretch for this thread, but there is Canadian content.

Great Northern empty ore train reversing uphill on Bridge 15 crossing Granite Creek, towards the mines in Eureka Gulch, Republic Mining District, Ferry County, Washington. KVR passenger excursion in the background. Still a work in progress, but getting closer to being presentable.

A few more progress screenshots.

KVR #3 arrives at the wye just west of Republic with Morning Glory Mine ore loading platform behind.

Last shot, I've been experimenting with changing the ballast texture on the track I am using. The dark is the default used on MSGSapper's excellent procedural track. The light is a texture to blend in with the right-of-way texture used in this area of the route. I'm starting to lean towards the light one now, but am interested in opinions.

A bit more progress in and around Eureka Gulch.

GNR and KVR trains pacing each other about a half mile from the Gulch. The KVR track is level at this location. The GNR track is on a 2.5% grade. Both tracks are at the same elevation at the location of the KVR depot, where an interchange track is located.

GNR crossing the trestle at the Quilp Mine at the entrance to Eureka Gulch. KVR trains traversed the west side of the Gulch whereas the GNR traversed the east side.

A couple of the mines in the Gulch. KVR tracks on the right and GNR on the left.

The lighter ballast colour is working well IMO.
