Tgv stuff ?

Searching for TGV Duplex

I see there are no electric routes in TRAINZ on Steam!!!! Yucky! I really wanted to drive the TGV Duplex... but it won't work on a non-electrified route! And $75 is just to expensive for the Deluxe version!

It'll work; it just won't look correct. I believe you can clone a built-in route, like ECML, and add your own catenary for effect. Catenary is just scenery as far as the simulator goes.

TS12, on the other hand, came with a couple electric routes in which the TGV would look correct and have catenaries. One is a portion of the NEC, another is an eastern European route. I think there might even be another electric route. Been awhile since I drove any of those, though.

Searching for TGV Duplex

Maybe it's my poor eyesight. I can't find ANY high speed electrical routes that can be downloaded for TRAINS A NEW ERA on Steam! Whaaaaaaaaah...... :( I was really hoping to get the TGV Deluxe. :( It's a lotta money to spend for something that looks wrong. I was sure there'd be at least a french electrified route or something like that for a TGV! Any TGV! There's a picture of a TGV on one of the T:ANE boxes but I can find no mention of it anywhere.

Hi Mr. M...

You won't find them on Steam specifically.

Check within your Content Manager and online via the Download Station.

To check in Content Manager, click on Manage Content from the launcher screen. This will give you initially what's installed in Trainz, however, you can then choose download station for the filter. On the right side of the content window, is a search screen. Put in Northeast Corridor, and see what it finds for you. There are other French routes available too. You can search by region - click and routes, by clicking on the small arrow located under Download Station in the filter.

If you see something you like, right-click and choose download. It will then download and hopefully bring it's dependencies as well.

The other way to search is via the internet by going here:

This is a bit more involved, but it will generally find what you are looking for as well.

John
