Texas Prison Bus Collides With Train After Skidding Off Of Nearby Interstate

Sad accident, but you can't say the train collided with the bus, it was more like the other way around. They probably would have been hurt or killed anyway if they slid down the embankment.

Okay, so the title of the thread is not completely accurate to the news article. But I figured that since it was hit by a train I would have to mention in the title of the thread that it was hit by a train. Moderators, can you rename this thread Texas Prison Bus Hit By Train After Skidding Off Of Nearby Interstate?

Lol. :D

You're getting like the media. Blame the railroads whether their at fault or not!

You can rename your thread.... Edit your thread and go to advanced. You can type in the new name there.

I'll have to agree with JCitron on this. The article said the bus collided with a passing train after skidding off the interstate. The article said that only a couple containers at the rear of the train were damaged, but no mention of the four UP locos at the head suffering any damage. In other words, the bus' initial impact was more likely at or near where the damaged containers were on the train, near the end of the train.

Saying the train hit the bus means that the train ran into the bus in some way, as if the bus were obstructing the train's path. When in reality, the bus hit the train.

Yeah, this was an awful accident. Anyways, With all this media "The railroad did it" soon it will be the RR's fault that people go around crossing gates. :hehe:
