Teen hit by CSX train in Indianapolis

This also brings up another subject, a week and a half ago there was a teen girl fishing off a railroad bridge near a power plant and she went to get her stuff off of the bridge and her leg got stuck between the ties on the bridge just when a train came by and she couldn't get it free, and the train cut her leg off from the knee on down. She didn't have any ear impairments nor Ipod's or Phones, But she could not hear the train beause of the power plant and the train dosn't whistle in that area. My prayers to the girl, was almost done with high school too.

Most if not all people that dont work for the railroad or are not railfans have no knowledge or respect for trains. Here where I live on NS the station where the trains recrew is about 10 cars off the crossing. When no trains are coming people stop and look before they cross it, but let there be a train coming or be sitting there getting a fresh crew people never even look just try to get across. Heck, I have even seen people go around the crossing arms when the train was about 1 car off the crossing with the horn blaring. People just dont get it.
