TCR still offline!!!!

Until we find moderators that are good enough. I as an administrator grew tired of having to do the jobs of the moderators.

Yes. With the amount of traffic the site receives it is impossible for it to be kept under control by 1 person. Not to mention various other things being fixed and upgraded behind the scenes.

Mods for what exactly? Forums or maintaining website issues?

Cheers,

Steve

Moderators that keep the forums in order. Such as if a person flips out and creates a flame war, then you as a moderator would take care of situation and delete or edit posts as necessary etc.

We have enough administrators for now to keep the site going when 1 or 2 of us are away for whatever reason.

Gandalf, as a note, I am Trainman17 on TCR. Now to my question: What about gerr & skiggs?

By the way, I'm looking for help with my new Trainz forum. Could you help? Here's the link, just in case: http://s4.zetaboards.com/Trainz_Fanz/index/
Gerr and skiggs are much like myself, dedicated however are very busy with life, and simply cannot run the site from behind the scenes, moderate and have a busy life/schedule. Simply doesn't work. Having DECENT moderators would take that pressure off us, leaving us to the duties a administrator should be dealing with.

That's 2 willing to help Gandalf. I know how to handle spammers etc. appropriately, if you think I can do it. i'll understand if you say 'no'.

And Gandalf Ive learned from my mistake with the warn system and Ive read the rules and im all for it of helping you.

We shall see. Right now we are trying to "hire within" so to speak, but no one is jumping up for joy to volunteer. So we may have to draw from outsiders. I will let everyone know what is up when we get to this bridge.

What do you mean by "hire within"?

It is a common term used by business, government, groups and organizations.

It literally means that they are looking for a qualified candidate from within their own employees/members who are able to fill the position quickly.

Obviously, the benefits of being able to "hire within" are savings in recruitment costs and training costs and be able perform the job with minimal input from management.

Hope this answers your question.

Have fun,

Well like i said on TCR im Metrorail so im willing to help in anyway shape or form and yes i understand if you say no.

Gandalf044 is referring to people who are staff on TCR or above; just being a member of the forum isn't being inside the company.
