TC3 :(

Hi all ive just recived my tc3 copy today and it wont install at all any help greatly appriciated:'(

Steps to try:

A) Copy your local, world and screenshot folder, out of your TRS folder and put them in a safe place.
B) remove Trainz completely
C) Look for entries with "Trainz" and "Auran" in the registry (CAUTION!! MAY HAVE SOME SIDE EFFECTS THAT MAY END UP IN A NON WORKING PC, BE VERY CAREFUL AND I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE) - Now the Policial Correctness stuff is out of the way
D) now try to install TC3.

how can i remove trainz if it wont go on in the first place?

Are there any error messages? If so, please post them. If not, what happens, or fails to happen?

I'm confused.

The second pic shows TC installed.

The first pic appears to be the CD drive, why are you running Trainz.exe in there?

If you re-boot your PC and then put the Disk into the DVD drive it should give you some options to install or un-install depending on what it thinks the situation is.

If you think it is messed up then un-install.

If it doesn't want to cooperate delete the trainz classics folder it installed and clear out the registry. Re-boot and then run a clean install.

Do you have TC1&2 installed?

Disable your antivirus program, then uninstall TC3, then reinstall TC3. Upgrading to XP service pack3 might help as well.

Before installing again, try cleaning out your temporary files. Sometimes bits and pieces get left over from previous install attempts, and this confuses the install program.

and also use a registry cleaner to remove any remaining registries for Trainz in Windows.

its just started working again thanks for all help
