Tasmanian Railways Content?

Butner Lines Railroad Co.
Hi all,

I was browsing through the DLS this morning, and noticed that there is some nice Tasmanian Railways content. Is there going to be a route of some sorts? Thanks.

Yes - in the next few days. We (elstoko, ringarooma and myself) are doing a phased upload to the DLS to ensure that all the necessary assets are in place before the route and sessions are uploaded - that way no-one (we hope) gets any "missing dependencies" errors.

The route is an upgrade of my previous Tasmania's Fingal Line route but converted entirely to the original narrow gauge (3' 6" - 1047mm) and made as historically accurate as we could for the early 1950s - based on information generously provided by various sources including railway historians, the Australian National Archives and the Tasmanian Transport Museum, and, of course, permission to reskin and alter original meshes generously given by content creators.

The route and sessions are essentially a "proof of concept" for a new rule developed by ringarooma - and more details (including an extensive user manual for the rule) will be released when the route and two sample sessions are available on the DLS.

The route, sample sessions and all (we hope) the assets are now available on the DLS.

A thread in the Freeware Announcements forum contains all the details with some screen shots.

Well the best laid plans...

We encountered a few minor (but annoying) hiccups in our uploads. Hopefully, they have now been resolved.

The updated assets (the session “Placing an ASG into Storage” <kuid2:368725:200005:9> and the locomotive "TGR X-class Green NG42 gauge" <kuid2:45176:100241:2> with the bogie "fix") have now appeared on the DLS . Our apologies for any inconvenience that may have resulted.
