Tank Car

Is there a better Tank Car than the Auran "Oily Rag" car? It seems to be pretty heavy on the Poly Count. I have DLoaded a bunch of them, but most don't even carry product.

Actually, the default 'oily rag' tankcar is probably the most poly friendly tankcar out there. All the cylinders are only 8 - 10 sided. It looks like it uses planes for most of the handrails and piping and just has a rectangular box for a coupler. Also, most of the better tankcars, usually have higher poly count bogies assigned to them via the kuid table, rather than the default ones assigned to the Auran car. Except for reskins of the default Auran car, most of the tankcars on the DLS built from scratch are probably 10 times higher in the poly count.

I'd agree with that. I used some bare tank cars and coloured them to suit.
They sure take up the pixels. In fact, any reskinning takes up pixels.

Put two of these side by side and watch the image begin to blank out ....
