Tall weeds/ Grass

I'm llooking for tall grass/weeds/grain say 12 inches 0r so. AllI can find in textures is more or less ground cover. 2009/10

How do any of these play out in native mode or are they compatibility only? I'm using 09 and finding very little for native and sick of the sluggish hit and poor looks in compatibility.

I found that quite a few of the JVC grasses, singles, groups and splines are usable in 2010 Native mode without any strange effects, well not here anyway oddly enough it seems to be older ones! Not sure how they pan out in 2009 though.
