Talking by Stop Signal

So my AI train reached this point, about to couple to the consist in the background, but came across a stop signal before the cars, thus stopping the train. Is it possible to "talk by" my train through the red signal to couple to the consist?

:There's actually two set's of empty hoppers to couple to, just really far down the line...Thx

No, it's lined for me, it's just giving me a stop because those cars are the next thing on the track that I'm on.

if the computer is using a drive to command when it reaches this signal, chances are it will not continue. However, if you are using the couple command, the train should eventualy clear the signal. But in this circumstance, the following signal is what is blocking you AI driver. Its an extra task that stands between it and coupling the cars, therefore it is veiwed as separate and does not permit the train to continue and pass the signal. Your best bet is to place more signals (at least one that signals each track) whether they be visible or invisible....

Now, im not sure whether or not im making any sense, but that is the just of is.. please excuse my grammar and or spelling, im a bit tired

cheers:wave:

Okay. You said about invisible signals, could I put on at the end of each track? That way the train would get an approach to couple in a situation like this. Possible?

I personally would place two before the switch in the background and two after (on both spur tracks facing both directions). All you need to do is to get the AI over the switch so that it is permited to ignore the signal and proceed to the cars. Do this by placing signals as often as necesary to allow the AI to be completely aware of its surroundings...

cheers
