Taking screenshots and Junctions

VL1238

Hi all,

I have two questions I would like some help on:

First, how can I take higher quality screenshots? Whenever I do take a shot with normal print screen, it comes out OK but is not as clear as I would like it to be.

Second, in surveyor, can you somehow stop the names above the track junctions from appearing?

Thanks in advance :)

Hello!

Before you start Trainz, go to Options at the Launcher, and go to Display settings. Make sure Trainz is running at your monitor's current resolution.

I don't think Ctrl + H works in Surveyor, and I can't be bothered checking. :p

Hope this helps. (Well, the first part anyway!)

Not sure about first question but for second one. In driver got to the menus on top right - third icon from left. You can turn them off there

CTRL + H does the same in Driver (toggles the junction names/point direction on and off), but the original poster was asking if that's possible in Surveyor, which I don't think it is, short of removing every point lever or point motor attached to every junction on the route! :p

As for screenshots, you can also use a program like FRAPs to take screenshots as well, but doing that is wasteful when Trainz itself takes good enough screenshots - if your screenshots are coming out blurry or poor, then it's likely you need to tweak your graphic settings for Trainz, as Kieran mentioned.

With regard to the junction names try the folowing - In surveyor go to options > Surveyor settings > tick Limit contextual information. This is for TS12 but for 2009 it ought to be about the same. The names will now only show when you are in Tracks/Objects tab or when you move the curser over the junction.
