How do i stop my idle trains from burning up endless coal? ive seen the shutdown command but it never appears anywhere......... please help.

thanks Sy.

Well strictly speaking you can't "shut down" a steam loco... You would have to drop the fire over an ash pit, then when the engine is required next rebuild and relight it taking several hours. So an idle loco will consume fuel in order to maintain boiler temperature.

Don't think it's possible. I suggest you just make sure they're full at the beginning of the session by editing their properties in Surveyor.

Trainz coal is cheep. Itz virtual !
You have to keep a good bank of coals & head of steam in a loco.
A cold loco is a 24 hour startup proceedure.
