swop tracks

Hi,,,,I have a track down and I want to swop it for another,,can you please tell me how I can just click on it and swop it for another.

In surveyor, click on the "main menu" in the upper left hand corner of the screen, then click on "bulk asset update/replace." Now open the track pullout menu and click on the "get track" button in the lower left hand corner of the menu. Go to the track you already have installed and click on it and it's name should now be highlighted in the track menu. Drag this name to the "asset to update" box in the bulk asset replacement box. Then go to the track menu and select the track you want to replace it with and drag it's name to the "asset to replace with" box and click "begin." You can click the "undo" button at the top to reverse your decision if you're not happy with it.

Does this only swap the single section of track you click on ... or does it swap out the tracks globally all over the route ?

It would be nice if it swaped out an unknown missing kuid track, and globally replaced it with the track of your choice

I am still used to 04, 06 VistaMare Trainzmap where all instances of the track is replaced (only works in 04, 06)

And I usually place 2 track spline points, delete the track in between, place in a short section of the desired track, then delete the track spline points in the intended direction of traffic flow

It replaces all over the route or in an rectangular area you select.

Same function also can move assets to a different layer and reduce the use of one or more assets by a percentage (which is great for trimming forests).
