Following on from my Slugs screenies I have a few Switchers as well, I like the different coloured livery for each Railroad company, far nicer than our bland shunter locos we have operating over here......:hehe:

What's so special about 1976 in America?

In 1976 the USA celebrated its 200th year of independence. Don't they teach you that at school in Australia?

It was the Bicentennial, 1776-1976. The year 1776 was the year the 13 Colonies declared independence from England.

my favorite switcher.

I'll also take that BNSF one.

If you include steam power, I have many favourite shunters, for steam, they are the Tkh and Tkp Classes, 0-6-0T and 0-8-0T respectively. The steam locos I spoke of are from Poland. For diesel it would be the British Class 08, an 0-6-0 Diesel Electric and the German "Kof", an 0-4-0 which I think is a Diesel Mechanical. I don't have any screenshots at the moment.
