Hello:
Can I set the surveyor ruler to vertical?
Is there a ruler spline?
Looking for something that will measure 500ft vertically.

Answered my own question
Give vucan's rulers a rotate-yz-range 0.0,90.0
and metric AMG Ruler splines .
Use "fly"(Alt+U) to read ruler

I ran across the vertical ruler last night by accident. I've NEVER downloaded it, so it must be built in. Look in the scenery tab for "Vertical Ruler"- I'm not sure how tall it is, though. 500' may be asking a lot of it.

You could try C+ SO Ruler Object R/G 100mh,<kuid:243828:1961>.

It's only 100 Metres high but try stacking a second copy on top.

500 feet is 152.4 metres.

After downloading every ruler and testing them I found that the AMG Ruler metric spline
can measure any height or length at any angle.
each red mark is 10meters and use fly to zoom in for more detail.
If you realty need feet and inches just use internet for conversion.

The AMG ruler is useful but when using it bear in mind that, being a spline, the measurements are only accurate when the ends of the spline are (in this case) 10m or multiples of 10m apart. At any other length Trainz will compress or stretch the spline distorting the scale.

Ill keep this short..in this case with this spline...Your wrong.
The spline will only do multiples of 10m.

What I use for measuring heights are the splines of any spline point. Let's say I want to know how high is a station, I click on a spline of the tracks and take a measurement there with the provided spline high tool. Now, how accurate is this? you tell me...
