Summer Getaway (tram layout)

Summer Getaway is a small fictional world, dedicated to trams and gorgeous rural landscapes. Although all the places were created from pure imagination, its composition is as real as it can be, simulating human’s every day life. I tried to realize my own world with plenty of common sense and logic, discovering, sadly, that in most of Trainz layouts, these things are missing.

.................. because of the gameplay. Interacting with the AI all the time and and maintaining the industries running, makes the time to fly away. (the map has five sessions, in two you will interact with trains, a session for presentation, one with trams and a base session and each of them has different levels of difficulty) Of course in the future I will extend the map, but for now I wanted to create my world, to have something, so I can play this simulator and especially to play with the trams. (in the manual I put a story of the land, some help and screens and some introductive thoughts)

I will upload the map on DLS, but it has a lot of 3rd party objects because I want to create every part of the map different, I will make a list with sites, anyway it has objects that can be easly found, so I belive..

This is one map that i would happily spend time finding 100mb of missing assets for, as it looks to be a very well thought out route; into which a lot of effort has been put.

Well done,

Matt.

I'm so sorry because I have the map saved and I have all that is needed to install and play in 2 clicks in a pack, and I cannot share it with you guys, because of the author rights for those 3rd party objects. So sorry, only if I could... :'(

But you are going to release the route, aren't you? For something that looks this good, I wouldn't mind hunting down any missing assets.

Matt.

Hallo Atex Cs,

And yes you did not promise too much!! Your screens and the video looks very great. I like the many details and the way you made “human’s every day life” looking very realistic in Trainz.

Keep going our nice work!

1452 dependencies – that’s really much considering the route bases on just three baseboards as described above. Its actually hard to believe, but due to the high level of details ... Respect!!
My new “Municipal Surface Railway” – a urban and suburban tram layout as well – counts nearly 1900 dependencies, but my route bases on about 140 baseboards.

@ Atex Cs:

Your brief description remembers me to back to the TRS2006 time when I was working at my Milwaukee Road Avery-Drexel route (now converted, improved and released at TS2010 builtin). Due to the big size of the route I really had to find hard compromises between the level of details and the performance and reached eventually the limits of TRS2006.

hello guys and thanks for your interest in my work,

I want to say I'm sorry for the amount of objects that ..... The number is so large because I edited the people/villager gardens in detail with many many objects, also the cities, and even in parts where in fact you don't have to go, even there I edited in detail, in fact all three boards are edited completely.

tume, Milwaukee Road Avery-Drexel route is a famous route and I was impressed of her story.

my nick name is hoNNer and my real name vlad, the account atex_cs was made long time ago by an old friend of mine that now has no passion for trainz anymore.

I'm having trouble with a number of assets in the sessions for Summer Getaway needing serious attention. Particularly troublesome are a number of TU2 units by user #856639. I've attempted repairs, but the fact that this user is unknown to TS12/DLS is a show stopper.
