Stuff that I do. (XXL pictures)

Big thumbs up

Isegrinn and all of the TrainzPA group you're a hell of a team. big thumbs up and this thread reminds me so much the time I lived North of Chattanooga Choo Choo the winter/fall atmosphere the old contemp stuff you name it.
i envy you on the 28 baseboards, wish i could say that probably mine is 100x that and more to be true never really counted but its a hell of a job each board to pick the cherries and prune.

Love it!!

thanks for sharing

Isegrinns,

Awesome job on both routes. I am extremely impressed with the detail you put into everything to give it that alive feeling. Your work reminds me of the scenery and detail found in a game like Mafia II...which is top notch.

Now if only the Trainz creators would somehow create the next version of Trainz to include an option where you could live in the routes (much like in Mafia II or something) that you create. Then we would have perfect simulation.

...but we can only wish.

Keep up the great work!

Well, kinda.
It will really hurt to sniff out all non-DLS assetts once its done, but I think it will be worth it.
There are sure times when I hate myself for liking transition age more then contemporary stuff!
:p

#3 depicts the area I´m working on right now. A lot of those assets on the right side are from a french page, in example.
Also a lot of stuff from russian & polish builders.

Thanks for your comment, very much appreciated.

Isegrinns, Where can I find that track you are using and the three bay hoppers?
Thanks!

Its a wet, cold early morning on the Holly Subs Pontiac yard.
Hotshot PD1 to Detroit into NYCs Delta Yard stands ready to depart.
Though its not long distance, this train is one of the hottest trains around, as it handles mostly automobiles in its rack-equipped 60ft boxcars from the GM plant in Pontiac.

The Berkshire came all the way from Durant, as the Pontiac yard handles mostly switch engines and usually only forwards collected cars from the closer area up to Durant.

After a breaktest, it sets off into the snowstorm.

After passing the passenger depot, the Berks engineer let her do what she does best.

...past the huge DM plant, which makes chassis for the GM in Pontiac.
Probably not the kindest of workplaces in this weather.

Berk9.jpg

At the east end of the yard we pass DM Tower.
A lonely switcher waits for its call to move into the DM plant.
DM Yard handles a lot of interchange traffic from the Pennyless (PRR) and the Not Yet Cornelius (NYC) plus all the cars moving in and out of the DM plant.
So later on, here will be a lot of work to do for the crew of the switcher.

Due to a derailment somewhere, PD1 has to take a detour. The towerman of the Interlocking right behing DM Yard lines us up across the PRR and the NYC.
Up the Nordheim Branch.

Berk10-1.jpg

Entering Nordheim, we pass the small but very busy yard of this small town.
Most of the cars here will go into the sprawling textile factory or to the adjecent small harbor.
Here we leave and head for some hot coffee and maybe a donut or something, I´m damn hungry now.

;)

*note* Yeah, its fictional. I hope that its convincing enough, though.

Seems Lima is going to be very busy supplying all those new Berkshires. I know the L&A has a big order with them:hehe:. I can't wait to try this route one day it's amazing!

Yuss, Lima is indeed busy supplying the NM&W.
As is NM&Ws paint shop crew. (Thank you guys, excellent jobs so far!)
;)

Some hours later around DM Yard.
Weather aint gotten better, but the trains come through.
Another Berk meets a coal drag, coming down from the PRR.

You are amazing ... Not a DEM ... but the terrain looks so unbelievably realistic ... has a real dirty, grimey RR feel to all your screenshots ... You got talent man !

Thanks.
Wasnt much terraforming in this one, I´ve got another thingy with several hundred miles of handcrafted landscapes.
xD

Darn distance limiter.... But well, what can you do.
:)

First George Fisher...now you! I guess I should purchase Trainz Driver, because Surveyor is useless to me now!
Great pics, the realistic way you depict the time period is equal to GNdome and how he depicts the desert Southwest.
