Street Running

When I was looking on Railroad Picture Archives I stumbled upon and Iowa, Chicago and Eastern running through Bellevue, Iowa. I have Trainz 2009 SP4. How do you create street running?

Get yourself a nice street.
Put a piece of track on top of it. Consider "rail only" track or something similar.

I've done that myself it's pretty easy. You might want to opt for no-traffic roads and not connecting them to active roads, meaning those with traffic. If you connect them to traffic-enabled roads, the no-traffic roads will have cars running on them. If you want to try this, I recommend the YARN-like roads, or modified YARN roads to disable the traffic. These are thick enough so the track doesn't float to high above the roads which happens with other road-track combinations.

If you can get the rails flush with the terrain, you might consider painting an asphalt or tarmac texture to represent the street (there are separate white marker line and sidewalk splines on the DLS), with static vehicles to represent traffic.
